If your flight ticket is marked with the code “1 PC”, you may take one piece of baggage weighing a maximum of 23 kg.

If your flight ticket is marked with the code “2 PC”, you may take two pieces of baggage, each weighing a maximum of 23 kg.

If your flight ticket is marked with the code “3 PC”, you may take three pieces of baggage, each weighing a maximum of 23 kg.

The sum of the external dimensions (length + width + height) of each piece of baggage can be no greater than 158 cm. Special baggage may also count as one piece of baggage – for example, a musical instrument or a set of sports equipment that fit the maximum external dimensions (such as golf equipment, skis up to 220 cm or a snowboard).


Heavy Bag Charge

Extra Bag Charge

A heavy bag charge applies to a piece of
baggage weighing 23–32 kg. The charge is waived for customers travelling in Business Class and for Finnair Plus Platinum and oneworld Emerald tier members.

If you wish to take more bags than your
checked baggage allowance, an
extra bag charge applies.

Maximum measures for a bag accepted on a flight:

32 kg (70 lbs.) and/or 190 cm x 75 cm x 65 cm (75 in x 29,5 in x 25,5 in)

Heavy bag charge may apply.

Some special items, e.g. wheelchairs and musical instruments, exceeding maximum measures may be accepted with a prior approval from the airline. Please contact Finnair.

Children with their own seat

A child with their own seat has the same basic baggage allowance as an adult travelling in the same travel class. In addition, this allowance includes a folding pushchair and safety seat. Safety seats may be taken into the cabin, space and safety regulations permitting.

Infants

Regardless of travel class, an infant’s baggage allowance includes one piece of baggage weighing a maximum of 23 kg, as wells as a folding pushchair and safety seat. Safety seats may be taken into the cabin, space and safety regulations permitting.

Finnair Plus Silver members and oneworld Emerald, Sapphire and Ruby members

If you’re a Finnair Plus Silver member or a oneworld Emerald, Sapphire or Ruby member, you may take one additional bag on flights operated and marketed by Finnair.

Finnair Plus Gold and Platinum members

If you’re a Finnair Plus Gold or Platinum member, you may take one additional bag, as well as one set of golf, ski or diving equipment. This benefit is available on flights operated and marketed by Finnair.
