From tier to tier
On joining the Finnair Plus program you become a Basic member. This begins a tracking period of one year that recurs automatically. On joining, you will be issued with a Finnair Plus membership card that is valid for the duration of your Basic membership. You earn Finnair Plus points by displaying your membership card and entering your membership number when using the services of Finnair or a Finnair Plus partner.
Tier points (points that entitle you to move on to the next tier of the Finnair Plus program) are awarded for international scheduled flights with Finnair or other oneworld airlines.
Award points are earned for using Finnair Plus partner services. You can view your current balance and tracking period by logging into the Finnair Plus website using your membership number and password. Your account will show all your available points (tier points and award points).
Finnair Plus Silver
You qualify for the Silver tier and get your Finnair Plus Silver card and tier benefits immediately on collecting 40,000 tier points during your Basic tracking period or taking 24 scheduled flights with Finnair or another oneworld airline*.
Your Silver membership will then continue for the rest of the Basic tracking period plus 12 months. When the original Basic tracking period ends your tier points balance will be reset to zero, and your 12-month Silver tracking period will then begin.
Your tier points balance will not be reset to zero on qualifying for the Silver tier, but will continue for the rest of the original Basic tracking period. You may then qualify for the Gold tier by collecting approximately 50,000 more tier points during this original tracking period. Your tier points total will then be reset to zero when the original tracking period ends, and you will need 90,000 tier points to re-qualify for the Gold tier during the new tracking period.
To renew your Silver tier membership, you must collect 40,000 tier points or take 24 scheduled flights with Finnair or another oneworld airline*, during the tracking period.
If you do not have enough tier points to renew the Silver tier after the tracking period has ended, you will qualify for the Basic tier only. Your tier points balance will then be reset to zero and a new tracking period will begin.
The oneworld tier symbols ensure that you always get benefits according to your tier when you fly with Finnair or another oneworld airline. A red Ruby tier symbol appears on the Finnair Plus Silver card.
Finnair Plus Silver tier benefits
* Finnair domestic flights in booking class Y count towards tier flight total.
Finnair Plus Gold
You qualify for the Gold tier and get your Finnair Plus Gold card and tier benefits immediately on collecting 90,000 tier points during your Basic tracking period or taking 54 scheduled flights with Finnair or another oneworld airline*.
Your Gold membership will then continue for the rest of the current tracking period plus 12 months. When the current tracking period ends your tier points balance will be reset to zero, and your 12-month Gold tracking period will begin.
Your tier points will remain valid for the duration of the original tracking period, even after promotion to the Gold tier. You may then qualify for the Platinum tier by collecting approximately 60,000 more tier points during this original tracking period. Your tier points total will then be reset to zero when the original tracking period ends, and you will need 150,000 tier points to re-qualify for the Platinum tier during the new tracking period.
To renew your Gold tier membership, you must collect 90,000 tier points during the tracking period.

Finnair Plus Gold tier benefits

Finnair Plus Platinum
You qualify for the Platinum tier and get your Finnair Plus Platinum card and tier benefits immediately on collecting 150,000 tier points during your Basic tracking period or taking 92 scheduled flights with Finnair or another oneworld airline*.
Your Platinum membership will then continue for the rest of the current tracking period plus 12 months. When the original tracking period ends your tier points balance will be reset to zero, and your 12-month Platinum tracking period will begin.
To renew your Platinum tier membership, you must collect 150,000 tier points during the tracking period.

Finnair Junior Plus
Finnair Junior Plus is Finnair’s frequent flyer program for travellers aged 2 to 17 years. You will get a Finnair Junior Plus membership card on becoming a Junior Plus member. This card remains valid for the entire duration of the Junior Plus membership.
You can collect points in the same way as Finnair Plus members and redeem Finnair Junior Plus awards with the permission of a parent or guardian. The tier and award points that you collect remain valid for the duration of your Junior Plus membership, and your Plus points do not expire during this period. Your Junior Plus membership continues until your 18th birthday, when you qualify for a Finnair Plus tier according to your points total and receive a Finnair Plus membership card.
