Finnair Plus is Finnair’s frequent flyer program. As a member you’ll earn tier points and award points, which enable you to take advantage of many valuable and exciting benefits.

Collecting tier points allows you to move up through the tiers of the Finnair Plus program – Basic, Silver, Gold and Platinum – and you can spend your award points on Finnair Plus awards.

The higher your tier, the more valuable your benefits!

When you first join Finnair Plus, you’ll start off in the Basic tier. But this is just the beginning. Now you can earn tier points when you take scheduled flights operated by Finnair and the other oneworld airlines – and, if you collect enough of them, you’ll move up through the tiers, getting access to ever more valuable benefits. When you join Finnair Plus, you’ll start off in the Basic tier and will receive your Basic membership card after one accrual transaction. Your card is valid for the duration of your Basic membership, or until you move up to the Silver tier. In addition, your one-year tracking period will start – this tracking period will recur automatically on a yearly basis.

You can now earn tier points when you take flights operated by Finnair and the other oneworld airlines. Collecting tier points allows you to move up through the Finnair Plus membership tiers.

Basic tier membership benefits in brief:

If you're a Basic member, you’ll move up to the Silver tier once you achieve the following during your Basic tracking period:

collect 40,000 tier points, or
take 24 Finnair or oneworld scheduled flights.

When you become a Silver member, you’ll receive your Silver membership card automatically and can start using Silver tier benefits immediately. Your Silver membership will continue for the rest of your Basic tracking period plus 12 months.

To maintain your Silver tier membership, you must achieve the following during your tracking period:

collect 40,000 tier points, or
take 24 Finnair or oneworld scheduled flights.

If you don’t have enough tier points to renew your Silver membership when your tracking period ends, you can, if you wish, make up the difference by exchanging some of your award points for tier points. To exchange points, contact the Finnair Plus Service Center. There is a service charge for each exchange. Read more about the exchange of award points for tier points.

In the case that you haven’t collected sufficient tier points to remain a Silver member, you will become a Basic member again. If this happens, your tier point balance will be set to zero and a new tracking period will begin.

The Finnair Plus membership tiers are aligned with the oneworld frequent flyer tiers, which ensures that you’ll always receive the benefits due to you when you take oneworld flights. The Finnair Plus Silver tier is equivalent to the oneworld Ruby tier – that’s why your Finnair Plus Silver membership card bears the oneworld Ruby tier symbol.

Silver tier benefits in brief:

All Basic tier benefit.
10% Silver tier point multiplier – earn 10% more points for Finnair flights.
Access to the Priority Lane – skip the queues for security control.
10% off in the Finnair Tax-Free Shops – this applies to all standard-priced goods purchased when travelling on scheduled Finnair flights bound for destinations outside Europe.
5% off all standard-priced goods in Finavia duty-free shops.
Business Class check-in for all Finnair flights regardless of travel class.*
Business Class check-in for all flights operated by oneworld airlines, regardless of travel class
Access to award-winning Finnair Lounge when travelling on Finnair flights (make sure you have an AY code in your ticket). This benefit is personal. See all lounge services.
Take an extra item of baggage (max. 23 kg) when travelling on Finnair flights, regardless of travel class.*
50% discount when you reserve a seat for a scheduled Finnair flight using the Select Your Seat service (excluding exit row seats).

If you're a Silver member, you’ll move up to the Gold tier once you achieve the following during your Silver tracking period:

collect 90,000 tier points, or
take 54 Finnair or oneworld scheduled flights.

To maintain your Gold tier membership, you must achieve the following during your tracking period:

collect 90,000 tier points, or
take 54 Finnair or oneworld scheduled flights.

If you don’t have enough tier points to renew your Gold membership when your tracking period ends, you can, if you wish, make up the difference by exchanging some of your award points for tier points. *With a two-for-one Classic award, you can purchase award flights for two people but pay the point cost of an award flight for one person. Two-for-one Classic awards are only available for scheduled one-way and return flights operated by Finnair and must be purchased using points only. Finnair Plus Junior flight awards cannot be purchased as two-for-one Classic awards.

**Finnair guarantees confirmed seats in European scheduled Business Class booking classes J, C and D, and in scheduled European and long-haul Economy Class booking class Y.

***Special baggage benefit: you may take either one set of golf equipment (including golf clubs and a golf bag), one set of skiing equipment (including skis, ski poles, ski boots and a bag) or one set of diving equipment (the pressure vessels need to be empty) on Finnair leisure flights and scheduled international flights. Your ticket must be reserved in the Finnair quota (the flight is operated by Finnair and there’s an AY code on the flight ticket). This benefit is personal.

collect 150,000 tier points, or
take 92 Finnair or oneworld scheduled flights.

To maintain your Platinum tier membership, you must achieve the following during your tracking period:

collect 150,000 tier points, or
take 92 Finnair or oneworld scheduled flights.

If you don’t have enough tier points to renew your Platinum membership when your tracking period ends, you can, if you wish, make up the difference by exchanging some of your award points for tier points. 25% Platinum tier point multiplier – earn 25% more points for Finnair flights.

Two one-way travel class upgrades, which you can use on any Finnair long-haul flight.

Access to oneworld Business Class and First Class lounges for you and one other person regardless of travel class, provided that you and your guest are travelling on the same flight.
When you have bought a Business Class ticket, you can use your points to upgrade up to three family members from Economy Class to Business Class – upgrades costs 50,000 points per person on long-haul return flights and 10,000 points per person on return flights within Europe.

Finnair Plus Junior is our frequent flyer program for travellers aged 2 to 17 years. Just like Finnair Plus, membership is free, and you can earn points when you buy products and services from us or the members of our extensive partner network. Your Finnair Plus Junior membership is valid until you turn 18.

Finnair Plus Junior benefits in brief:

Use your points to buy award flights and Finnair Plus Junior reward items – remember, you need to get permission from a parent or guardian to purchase an award.
Get a 50% discount on the normal point cost of Finnair award flights – this benefit is even available when a Finnair Plus Junior flight award is charged to the account of a family member.*
Any points you earn as a Finnair Plus Junior member are valid for the duration of your Finnair Plus Junior membership and only expire three years after you become a standard Finnair Plus member.
You can collect logs from your Finnair flight trips in your Logbook. We will send you an award after you have collected ten logs. Print out a logbook.
