Children accompanied by an escort

• A child under 5 years of age may travel on any Finnair flight but only when accompanied by a parent or an escort of at least 18 years of age nominated by the child's legal guardian. Within Finland, a child under 5 years of age may also travel with a family member of at least 16 years of age.
• A child over 5 years may travel on a Finnair flight within Finland without a UM escort reservation, provided that they are accompanied by a parent, a family member of at least 12 years of age or an escort of at least 16 years of age nominated by the child's legal guardian.
• A child over 5 years may travel on an international flight without a UM escort reservation, provided that they are accompanied by a parent, a family member of at least 16 years of age or an escort of at least 18 years of age nominated by the child's legal guardian.

Underage passengers may need special travel documents in order to travel.
