Rome

Rome

Known as the eternal city, Rome is like a gripping history book that has come to life. The Coliseum, the Forum Romanum and the Pantheon remind visitors about the vivid ancient Roman life and entertainment, and despite its compact size, the Vatican packs more cultural treasures than many cities. St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel with frescoes by Michelangelo and beautiful sculptures will leave a lasting impression. Those inclined to shopping simply cannot miss the luxury shops of the upscale Via Dei Condotti and the main street Via del Corso.

Enjoy Italian city life at its best by relaxing in one of the many outdoor cafes around the Piazza Navona, take a leisurely stroll in the narrow lanes of the Trastevere area inhabited by artists or enjoy a delicious pasta dish with a glass of house red in a trattoria. Before you leave the city, toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain; legend has it that you will return to Rome if you do.
